Not sure---it was bought in Arizona and then brought out to convert to a racecar---super clean RS body kit---twin turbo AWD---not your usual racecar, kind of heavy but cool none the less.

You could just tell me if this looks correct. I mean besides the funky boot.

Is your suspension drooped out/wheel off on stands? It seems pretty close. With this car on the ground the angle looks better, but I'll have it up on the hoist with the tires off and snap a pic sometime next week.

Started putting the cage in this one---turns out the mainhoop is the same dimensions as the escort, go figure...I'm betting the kickers will be at a different angle, but other than that it should be the same---it just kind of popped right up inside the headliner crossbrace area.

So you're saying, you might be able to get all the dimensions and be able to offer a bolt/weld in cage for the 4 door BG's?

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

From the angle in that picture, it looks like if a crossbrace/harnessbar were in the same plane, it might pose an issue. I only ask because I generally need the seat all the way back to be able to fit comfortably. With a 2-door, not so much a problem, but with a 4-door, and needing to keep within 6" of the B-pillar (I think that's the rule?) would it be?

Great question---the diagonal or x needs to be in the same plane as the mainhoop. The harness bar doesn't, so we could bend it back around the seat. The driver is 6'2 and this just clears him, so you'd be pretty close as well---but should be OK. We used to be able to lay the mainhoops back at the harness bar junction---worked perfect in the 911's because the pillars were leaned back--so the diagonal/harness bar was off plane---and then NASA changed the rule and then SCCA said only "factory cages" we're allowed to be that way...

                                Jim,
Seems to me, with a 4 door car you may want to pull the main hoop back a bit more, 2-4". I guess the balance is trying to get 4 people in the car with a cage.
