    FMU= fuel management unit
DSM = Diamond Star Motors, used to describe the 1g/2g Eclipse/Talon/Laser

go to FEOA and get your learn on, it's pretty common at this point.

FYI the CVH motor is a piece of **** and can't take much boost, but on the other hand they're cheap and plentiful so who cares?

lol i know they're cheap POS. i was reading on the wiki about that.
well im not big on boosting alot yet. i wanna learna nd figure out on it before i do alot.
so im definatly doing the head swap. i may not boost though. ill save that for a BPT build.

i have the 85mph gauge cluster. should i grab a diferent cluster?
by 97 fuel rail, im assuming 97 escort/tracer that has the SPI?
i kinda figured that FMU stood for that.
ill head over to that site and read up.

thanks alot for the infor atomic.

don't bother with the head swap unless you add boost- the low compression will make it worthless.

cluster doesn't matter, I've wrapped the needle on a 120mph cluster with a ****ty little VJ20

yeah, you need the rail from an early SPI because the later models went to a returnless rail, which doesn't work with the 2nd gens.

          so shopping list
          2.0L SPI head with Injectors
          97 SPI injectors and FMU
DSM Exhaust Mani and a T25

          no harness mods correct?
and whats the specs on the T25 or a place i can find it.
i just wanna know what RPMs and the psi it has.
mainly cus if this kills my mpg i cant do it till i get a second car.

im thinking of dropping AC and PS (iF i have PS)

I think you have to wire in the switch for the SPI intake manifold if you use it, but it's not completely necessary.

            T25 specs: tiny and ****ty.

buy the stainless manifold, turbo, and downpipe this guy is selling:

there are threads on FEOA that show you how to drill the DSM manifold to fit.

adding fuel = worse MPG, duh.

i just want to know when the Boost kicks in, so long as it is not less than 3500RPMs im cool with that. i know that more fuel = bad mpg. but if i can have decent mpg by granny shifting around 2500RPMs then thats what im looking at.

so yeah, with it spooling low then i may wait till i have another car cus i need fuel econ so i can drive the 10 hour round trip drives to get my daughter. like i said if it doesnt spool before 3kRPM then i will do this. if it does spool before 3k nope. im done ill wait till i can afford to run a second car and at the point im gonna be working on a BPT build.
