let me get this out of the way first: nothing major is happening to the car until the spring at the earliest, so please, no morons bitching about a lack of updates like in my other build threads, kthx.
anyway. it's got 148k, 5-speed, excruciatingly slow. I'm fairly certain that I'll need a clutch by the spring, so at that point it will be time for boost.
tentative plans:
-VJ20/VJ14 hybrid on B6T manifold (8psi)
-310 or 330cc injectors
-BP26 ecu (not sure about this- would a B6T ecu work in the MX3 if I re-pin the harness?)
-small SMIC/FMIC
-some obscure JDM bypass valve
-fwd B6T clutch
-whatever other nonsense it needs.
realistically, 150whp will be fine. yes, I'm aware that a hi-comp budget BP build would give me similar power, but I have all of this stuff in my garage and besides, turbos make everything better. so for now, this is more of a thread to keep things organized while I collect the rest of the parts (and finish the beast).
