So it's literally just a bracket with a hole in it.
Would it matter how far up the strut body it is? As in, do i have to match where it sits on the 3rd gen struts? Or can i just put it anywhere as long as it's the same on both sides and i can get enough adjustment out of the AWR links?
Alrighty, now to figure out how much of an increase that would actually give me. Turns out that the way the bar is mounted right now only gives me a .5 bar ratio, so any rate increase of the bar itself will be cut in half.
Throwing around the idea of researching an endlink setup that attaches to the strut. Anyone here done that?
^ im sorry but i refuse to believe that just off of what ES has a part listing for.
please provide a digital caliper spec.
Unless it was some freak canadian option i cannot understand why i would not have EVER encountered a 15/16"
It's a Georgia car lol, and I don't have access to the car right now as it's in storage.
I know 1000000000000000000000000% it's 15/16" tho man, believe what you will lol. I spent 2 days boring out some 13mm sway-bar D bushings to the caliper spec'd 23.9mm front sway bar lol.
EDIT: It could be a "sport" LX model, that would explain the larger front and rear sway bars that the car came with.
Didn't put calipers on my bar last night. Was too busy figuring out other things.
Like: Why the ***********ing ***** don't my fog lights work?!?!?!?!
And: Lesson learned. Adjusting the rear calipers is EASY. As long as, you know... you haven't replaced the e-brake cables with ill-fitting aftermarket replacements at the same time. 3 hours later, the brakes work correctly.
Anyways..... yeah. I got sick of ****ing around and decided it was time to get to business. I've been up since 5am yesterday. Went to work, went to work on car, finished working on car at 7:08am this morning, went home, showered, and went to work. I'm tired.
Made Cromoly spacers for the endlinks to keep the bearing from binding. Worked out well.
Ran wires for Racepak.
Got power. LOTS OF POWER. (But no fogs. Or wipers, actually.) Starter cranks FAST.
So i heard you liked low cars?
The Star Specs are BEEFY.
This is a normal office chair adjusted all the way DOWN.
sweeet!!! guess you didn't see my sticky about the rear caliper adjustments
About the fogs and the wiper not working, I'd double check the connection at the wiper motor (drivers side firewall by the strut tower), otherwise it's probably a fuse that's gone on you man.
Car looks awesome!! That rim/tire package is BEEFY indeed...looks fitting tho
