Clean ride! Headlights are not 94 style though?

I don't know about the headlights, it's a salvage car meaning it was in a crash before (Rebuilt Status) and let's just say the vin # doesn't quite match up to the car, hehe. When you look up the vin # it says that it's a 95 Protege and it's a DOHC which it is clearly not. Even says 1995 on my ownership. I buy 94 parts for it so I call it a 94, lol. I don't know about doing a engine swap at this time either, $$$ is kinda tight right now... but here's some more pics...

I think this was from flooring it all the time =p

New muffler. I decided that staying with the double tip would be appropriate

          Muffler installed.

How do you like the new rotor/pad setup? I've never ran either of those brands before.

Good deal on the muffler btw. Isn't it sad when $90 for a performance muffler in Canada, is a great deal? US get insane ebay deals...$25 shipped wtf lol.

                    damn, that is really cheap.

I really like the new setup. There is definitely A LOT less brake fade. One time I was racing around with some friends and after having braked really hard between stop signs, I went to stop again, but there was so much fade that I didn't stop until the middle of the intersection, luckily it was night time and we were on the side streets. Haven't had any such problems with the ceramics though.

I'm going to take the wheels off when it gets warmer and see if they're wearing out yet. Before I went through a set of pads in a little over a year.

almost forgot, after I installed the pads and driving on them for a while I decided to really try them out. I braked pretty hard, and smoke was coming out of the passenger front side. I broke the piston seal on the caliper and brake fluid was leaking out every time I braked. Bought and installed a new caliper and did another test run. This time the brake lines exploded in the back of the car right before they separate to the left and right side! lol I have new brake lines all around so everything is fine now.

                      Some more aesthetic work

Sanded down the rusted wiper arms, and painted. Also added a coat of black paint to the 626 front lip since it was a little scuffed up.

                      Painted the valve cover

Sanded the paint off the lettering

When I got the car, the A/C wasn't working and there was no condenser. Not wanting to bother fixing it, I removed all the remaining A/C piping and eventually purchased a new belt and removed the compressor as well.

Lookin good man! It seems us Canadians are always "cleaning" parts up...damn corrosion/rust lol...

I've got a factory fog light switch if you want it btw. Looks cleaner and goes in the blank spot to the left of the interior dimmer switch.
