Well, I raced my buddy's zx2 that he just bought today and needless to say, he lost. lol, he got the hole shot, but I caught up to him really quick. The zx2 was stock, but he plans on turboing it next summer. (just a t3, so not that much more power.) So, to be able to still beat him, I plan on buying a nitrous kit early next year. That along with my 323's lighter weight and other modifications should keep me faster.

Do you guys think a 50 shot is ok? I figure that's all I need to whoop his a$$, lol. (His and any honda around. )

just a t3? a t3 can make that car FAST. If done right, which I doubt he will do.

Not much has been changing appearance wise. I've been looking for better wheels, but it's not in the budget right now. Also, I changed the springs and struts to tokico blues and stock escort gt springs all around, and have installed derlin endlinks on the rear sway bar. I'm mostly just leaving the thing alone until next summer. I plan on swapping all the bp stuff and 4 wheel discs onto my rust free chassis, and then using this 323 for a race car. (The current 323 will not be modified much. I'm just going to maintain it so that it'll get me through the winter.) But I am also considering selling this 323 and buying a miata and using the rust free shell for a race car. Still can't make up my mind.

Anyways, I'll be swapping on a set of 185/70R14 blizzaks on 14" steelies whenever snow is forecasted again.

Well, the chassis itself is clean, body is damaged a bit all over the place from being moved with a forklift in the junkyard where I got the car from. (But the chassis is VERY clean for a car 25 years old from WI. NO rot any where, and just a little surface rust that will come right off with fine sandpaper. The interior is great, and the suspension is good.) And the damage is easy to fix for me. (My dad restores cars as a hobby and has tought my quite a bit over the last few years) The doors and fenders on my current 323 will be used on the clean chassis because while the ones on the clean chassis are rust free, they are damaged to much to fix. That just leaves the quarter panel dents and a few other small dents.

It looks worse in the pics than it does in real life. But here are the pics any way.

It will buff out LOL. I find Mazda's are super easy to pop back into shape because they are paper thin. Good used Fender, and door. Then hammer & dolly add some spreadable cheese product on the rockers and quarters and it will be mint. Looks like you could likely save the front bumper too. I was amazed on mine the before and after on the bumpers. My bumpers looked like crap, In my mind I was going to make do, then by another parts car to get "fresh" bumpers, but all the gouges and scratches sanded right out of them.

lol, yeah, they have thin metal, that's for sure! That's why I say it looks worse than it really is. It'll be pretty easy to fix. And yes, I plan on using the bumpers on the clean chassis until I can afford the ones I really want, the Mazdaspeed type A front bumper, and a GTR rear bumper. Then, I'd get a set of GTR side skirts, a bug eye fog grille, and a rear hatch spoiler. Oh, and gtr hood vents and a familia rear garnish and the EDM glass lights. But all that costs tons of money, as I want the real stuff, not reproduction pieces, so it'll be a LONG time before I get that stuff. (I'm in college, and have no money for "extras". But after college is done, I'll be modifying whatever car I have.) But in the mean time, I'll be using the stock stuff. Oh, and start modifying the engine.

If you do decide to go Miata, I happen to know of a rust free one sitting in a driveway not all that far from you, lol. It's just begging for a BP swap! I've come down on my price on it considering I have no way of getting it down here other then getting it driveable since I traded my truck off. Just food for thought for ya! Car's looking pretty good since I last saw it.

I want it, but can't afford it. Unless you'd trade me straight up for the 323.

If it wasn't so rusty, I would do it in a heartbeat. Now that I live in the land of no rust though it seems silly to bring a rusty vehicle down here.

Well, it wouldn't ever get any rustier i you did bring it down!

Would you be interested in trading for both my daily driver 323 and my clean shell 323 and then you could do what I was planning. (making one good car out of the two.) But if you did that, you'd have to throw in the jdm b6ze that you have.
