sohc turbo aka "the turtle"

    having some tunning problems and boost problems.. well the vacum lines that is. my turbo doesnt have a port to run it to the wastegate. i tryed runnninf it the the intake but not running right.. it hit 16psi and i let out of it..

      yea, you'll need to add a boost source somewhere on the intercooler piping. I added mine in the turbo outlet pipe for the wastegate, and works fine.

      If you tap after the throttle plate, it won't work too well lol. That'll be for your BOV/boost gauge source fyi.

        yea ill have to do that. but im so wore out from work and building other peoples cars usually dont want to mess with mine.. fyi stay away from working on audis.. just did one for a buddys big intercooler pipes exaust timing belt water pump ect.. pain in the ass.

          bull**** it won't work well.
          after the TB is a true reading of what your valves are seeing. if you want to be able to tune it, you want accuracy.
          idk what your using to tune this. but check there first, or dial back the boost a psi or 2

            it needs to have a standalone.. i get it to run much better.. going to play with it alittle more if i have to buy a standalone ill just sell it to someone..

              its all up top power now .. lots all its torque. wish i could have found me a smaller turbo but oh well.. defintly better on gas.. its not spooled all the time.. it comes on about 2800 3000 and pulls to redline.

                    What size turbo are you running? You might be able to get away with running a gtx gtr or b6t ecu to control it with minimal effort.

                        its a 48 trim garrett and i hog about 1/4 " out of it and polished it to and polished the housing housing to.. it doesnt spool til 3000grand then its all the way to redline .. its all up top... 2nd gear is stupid when it comes on.. its on 10psi. now. i did have it on 18psi once.. and it was pointless. lol. if i cant tune it im selling it. i dont have the money for standalone right now.. i got other stuff i got going on..

                          Look at the aem fic6 its half as much as megasquirt, and can ditch the afm. If i were you i would look into it.

                            you could use a gtx ecu to control it around they go for about 150.00
                            the gtx ecu is made for 360cc and iirc you said you have ft2 330cc injectors, but with a n/a fpr its running them at 360cc anyway, cause the japan fpr was a little lower.

                            you could also get a rx-7 vam and 460cc injectors and tune the wheel in the air meter to tune it.
                            you could also add a 4 wire tps too.

                              i tryed running a rx7 and it made it runner ****ter. but then again that was with the other injectors and stuff. car idles like 10.0 and on the high it wants to go 9.9 when its full throttle it goes to about 11.2 12.0 depends on wether and what rpms im at.

                                a gtx ecu will idel the 330cc injectors just like it would with stock injectors or close enough,

                                many of use a stock gtx ecu with rx-7 460cc injectors and rx-7 vam and just turn the wheel inside the vam(air meter) to get it to idle and we have enough up to top cover under full boost. my set-up with a dohc motor and the same management would go to around 10.5's at 18 psi out of a .42/.48 t3 (smaller turbo than you have thou)

                                its not the best way to do it, but has been done by many on here...
