I've got that same MOMO in my AE86. It's a great wheel.

Nice job on the level switch, I never got around to installing mine yet

And I'm sorry, but the beam pattern with those HID's looks absolutely hideous. To the point that if I saw you on the road, I'd be tempted to follow you, find out where you lived, and shatter them because they are so blindingly mis-aimed. Or report you to the cops. And being H1, they've got no low-beam, so you wouldn't even be able to claim they were aimed wrong. Why are you using H1 capsules, when the EDM lights use H4 bulbs? The geometry for the reflector and lens is wrong for H1's because the distance from the base to the filament is different. You should be getting a sharp cutoff on the light pattern, with no hotspots or glare pointing towards oncoming traffic, nearly the opposite of what your photos show.

I've got some photos around somewhere of some Osram Hyper 70/65W bulbs (just as illegal as your H1 HIDs, but not blinding to others) in my EDM housings; I'll try to get them posted.

My hids were never meant to be a permanent replacement, I'll probably go with something else in the near future, the beam pattern on these are pretty terrible. atleast I can aim them down lower with oncoming traffic now haha. I'd love to see pictures of your beam/cutoff though !

Ah, I'm glad it's only temporary. My absolute biggest pet peeve is people not using their turn signals, but the second-biggest peeve is headlights that hurt my eyes and blind me.

I took this last night at the side of the Wal-mart store. When driving down the road, the two little "splashes" on the right side actually meet right at the shoulder of the road, and really help for deer, pedestrians, and small animals that might be coming onto the road.

The bulbs are pricey, at $19.78 a piece, but they are freakin' awesome bulbs. I get them from rallylights.com.

Here's a good article on how to visually aim ECE (E-code) lights: www.danielsternlighting.com

Thanks for the info, Sarge! In other news, my foglight grill got here today, but I wasn't home to sign for it . I'll pick it up tomorrow and take pics. I'm getting 3 more in the coming months for anyone wants one, let me know. Probably be around 250, they are in mint condition

do you have a photo of your hood latch? I recently put a '94 hood on my gray 4WD, and need to figure out how it's normally routed. Is it just a longer lever so you can stick your hand through the grille and push up?

yeah I stick my hand through the grill, works just fine. I'll get a picture of the latch Monday, I'm out of town for the weekend.
