nice man, don't forget the GTX injectors on the n/a FPR are 360cc, so if it's too rich all around, just find a turbo fpr and it'll drop it down.

Water pump is done, and leaned the U/K hybrid all the way out to where the U code was originally when I opened it. I am getting 11.5-12:1 at WOT now. Idle is getting better and it pulls all the way from the bottom to the top now.

Needs more lean though.

The turbo FPR would be kinda hard to find though right?

My MS should be here monday and my IAT sensor is supposed to arrive today.

I need to go to the junkyard and grab an airbox from a 1.9 escort. It should work perfect for the VAF delete and there is spot for a temp sensor already in it if I remember right.

I also have a few spare parts that I would like to see be used and not go for scrap metal if anyone is interested.

I have 2 dohc crankshafts, one large nose and one small nose. The large one needs the journals turned and the small one is in perfect shape. The small nose also has the pulley and keyway to go with it.
I also have a cut upper BP intake.

I will make a proper thread with pics if there is interest in this stuff.

Me too, N/A is kind of uncharted territory for FWD BP's. I have a feeling there is about 10hp sitting on the table with some tuning time and VAF delete

I cant wait to start working on the ITB's and expansion chamber for the exhaust.

How much have you checked out what miata guys are doing??

Yeah I have checked a few threads here and there of N/A builds, but most of them are just speculation and dreaming with people telling them to put a turbo on it or anything that seems to be serious is mostly buying expensive parts and any details are left out or people do try it and set the bar too high spend too much money and get disappointed in the end.

I only found one thread worth bookmarking about power expectations and related mods/tuning with the BP by the guy from 949racing.

Needless to say its more helpful then finding N/A info on clubprotege, but not by much really.

N/A tuning info in abundance can be found on the honda forums.

I have seen the guy from 949, is that the one with the orange Protege?

He made the ITBs from some motorcycle TB, etc. Some good cams, tuning and will be good.

Maybe I should restate that there are more things to be learned on the Honda forums because yes its easier to make N/A power with them, but because of its popularity with Hondas people are willing to try many different things to get a few more HP with dyno charts to prove or disprove if something works from them and so it doesnt end up being the same old song and dance of: off the shelf pistons + bigger valves + plus hogged out head porting+ off the shelf header + ebay CAI + off the shelf N/A exhaust = I cant make any more power then the last guy who tried this, N/A sucks!

Anyway no I hadnt really looked into Fuji racing, plus they dont exist as a company anymore do they? I found a couple youtube videos of their Miata but their website and business seems to have ceased to exist.

As far as I can tell, one of the little bolts for the cap backed out and allowed it to get crooked enough for the rotor to hit the points in the cap. That nasty carbon track I am unsure of, though it could of happened while I limped off the freeway and onto a side road. Idk how I got that far considering after I stopped, thats what I found.
