Yes the old SMSP 4-2-1 header from some old threads I dug up on here. This thing makes that pacesetter look like some 10 year old kids built it, haha

Well I bumped an old thread on here about it to see if anyone knew anything, but nobody responded. So then I decided to email the guy and ask him what happened to the header or if he could make another. He promptly responded to me and said he still had the old 4-2-1 prototype for sale if I wanted it. He made me an offer I couldnt refuse, so I sold the Pacesetter to help pay for this.

So I really miss my old foglight grill ever since it got destroyed. Problem is I really dont want to hack up a perfectly good EGT bumper or make hybrid fenders to make a Escort/Protege front end conversion look truly flawless.

I came up with a new plan to keep the EGT front end, and have a foglight grill without having to do any body work. I like to do all my own work to my car as much as possible without paying other people to do stuff for me, and truly good body work is expensive, but I hate bodywork, so this is where I am at.

While I know this will technically involve body work, its on a much smaller, simpler scale that I am pretty confident I can handle.

Escort bugeye grill

Well I cut out the future foglight pockets from the Aveo heater vent, and just did a quick hack job on an escort LX grill to get an idea of what this may look like. I was really not thinking this would go well with the round hole of an LX grill but now that I see it, its not that bad. Ultimately my plan would be to use the horizontal slat from a tracer LTS grill, escort shell with fog lights, but its hard to say what will look best in the end. The Aveo heater vents will hold a 3" foglight and that is pretty much the biggest light an Escort grill could accommodate anyway.

Also if anybody is interested in my old broken Bugeye grill, shoot me an offer on it. I am sure someone with skills could salvage it.

thats a pretty awesome idea sir! I've never used fiberglass, but i may have to give that a try! fyi, what is the oem grille fog light size?

Well this will be my first attempt at fiberglass work. OEM grill fogs are 4"

Hmm. I may try this, but since I have the 94 slant hood, I may place these in the bumper since those hoods are a dime a dozen around here. It should give a nice oem finish and feel.

How do you plan on mounting the lights?
