I may have went a little overboard on a few things to lose some weight.... Haha. Picked up a 9 lb Braille battery and aluminum tray, while also getting the alternator only accessory mounting bracket for the front of the motor, as I removed the power steering completely and also pulled the underwood AC components, pics below!
40 lb stock battery next to Braille goodness!
Installed with the aluminum mount box low on the frame rail, lower CoG ftw!
And a general engine shot to show everything that i removed, you can also see the Roodwerks timing side engine mount, not visible are the AWR solid roll stop mounts, or Ferdis engine crossmember bushings.
Forgot to snap pics of the Cs Short shifter and NRG NeoChrome Ti shift knob and leather boot though.
Picked up some Koseis K1s, damn 17s! But they are 7.5 inches wide with a +45 offset really close on the inside but nothing a little bit of camber adjustment won't help, may be able to run a 225 with the proper rear quarter panel modifications!
How close they are to the rear trailing arm! Lol
Hope you enjoyed this (2.5 month old) update, I suck at these things! More to come I've got some evil ideas brewing, just need to get some progress made on my "Racecar" before really digging into this again.Last edited by AWDXavier; 01-19-2013, 12:28 PM.

^ apparently thats why he never PM'd me back. you musta bought em.
Id love to see an alignment chart. i always enjoy looking at them.
BTW how close is the strut body to the rim.
the rear trailing arm issue can be solved with some later escort tubular arms.which have an inward bend to clear the rim.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

He did indeed sell them to me, sorry for scooping them up before you Ryan. I was glad I was dicking around at work and checked the forum, lol. Im flying to go pick the car up in a week, ill have the alignment printout with me then. Ill be sure to scan it in. Its pretty damned close to the strut body, also to the plastic cover over the fuel filler neck on the drivers side, At most ill need a 3mm Spacer. Its far enough away from the trailing arm, it should work out there. I just couldnt get a good picture of the coilover clearance, its a bit tighter there, lol.

i'll hold my tongue I have "no comment" on the spindles
im curious tho how you have any space to the strut body. I have +35 & 8mm spacers & still have 2-3mm clearance only...... totally confused---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

Maybe it has something to do with me being on K-sports, are you still on stock style struts? I dont have much room, but it is there, it spins freely without issue. The K-sports allow easy camber adjustment, or I would throw a small spacer on, definitely going to need some quarter panel work though, stupid little door sill intruding into the fenderwell.

idk. the strut to rim distance shouldn't change. i have mx3 TTL's but that still shouldn't effect anything.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Finally decided what tires to buy for the wheels, after looking at rubbers for the last 4 nights, lol. 215/40 Nitto Neogen ZRs! Should be a tight fit, lol.
