Using a used cam a different head?

Hello. I have a bp26 swapped escort gt. Ran awsome for about 20,000 hard miles. I am in the process of freshening up a bp05 to run about 10 psi with.I have the rings and machine work all worked out for now, but i feel i made a BIG MISTAKE! This is my first engine overhaul and everything was going smothly until i realized DID NOT MARK MY LIFTERS FROM THE BP 26 when i removed them from the head. It is my understanding that i needed to mark the lifters' alignment to the head before removal. since I didnt am i screwed? I am using the head from the bp05 and cams from the bp26. Any input is greatly apreciated. I am still on my learning curve.
9.1:1 JE pistons, Eagle H beam rods, clevite bearings, BP05 head, ARP head studs, Block machining and blueprinting by Tom's Performance of Vancouver Washington, vj20, bp26 ecu and injectors, corksport fmic, downpipe, 2.5" exhaust, 12.8 psi, Suspension Techniques sway bars(f/r), corksport strut tower bars

All you have to keep matched to the head are the cam caps (position and direction). Cams and hydraulic lifters can be swapped. Sure, the cam lobes and the lifters might have worn in together, but there should be no problem switching them around. They are always rotating anyways.

Well that shows how much i know. Thanks for the quick response. I cannot wait to get her running again. With the increased flow and compression from the bp05 head and block it should be interesting
