haha NOT, I wish, was in the parking garage so I had to snap a pic. Red is so pompous... but its still pretty hot.




Next to come is the full length usdm sides and the MS replica front.... I was worried about the paint but the color match is pretty close maybe I should just roll with it rather then spend a $h!t load on some Castle white.

love the updates. cept that MS wing. those never look good on any mx3 though. if it wasnt for the MS name on it, no one would run them.

It is I will admit, but once I paint and install the MS front and the full length sides it will fit the look a little bit better. My original plan was to run it on the RS but decided to continue modding the wing I had started working on few years back. The overall goal of this car is to go for the Aspec look. I am content with the ZE for now. After the body is done MS wheels and a nicer exhaust is in its future

is that the 4 cyl stock rear garnish or something else? ive been pampered with nothing but v6 mx3's locally and havent ever seen that lip wing before. it looks good on its own even.

It is an aftermarket lip from the GTX/GTR rear spoiler for the MX3. Bought it off of a guy years ago and ran just it on the RS until now. I like the way it looks just on its own.

Ok have not updated this for a while here. so here we go.

Dyno Run at CorkSport. new numbers in - up almost 10whp from previous time. 168.8WHP not bad not bad at all.


Only upgrades to motor are KL36 ECU, JE50 VAF, 3" intake from 2.5" and new mid pipe

My long awaited button swap. I have been wanting to do this for years. quite literally, but finally got around to it. was not as straight forward as I thought it would be. I thought the buttons would be able to swap right over. Nope had to cut, melt, and glue them together. and the switches were completely different as well, just was not swapable that way either. But happy with the outcome none the less.







Crappy pic, the sun was too bright, but switch installed and MS vents now installed as well.

was messin around it was kinda cloudy so cant get the full effect of the snow covered mountain but oh well.





This is the new badging that will take place this spring... mmmm OE MazdaSpeed... makes me giddy.








This white round MS emblem will be the closest thing to ever finding the emblem that is on the front of the MX-3 in the MS catalog. The one in the book just does not exist.

My latest venture - So it's time to take my DD to the next level, getting rid of loud obnoxiousness exhaust... since I am not running a CAT and don't have to I am swapping out the Magnaflow muffler to a more sophisticated gentlemans exhaust a legit GS MS back box.

So I will let the barrage of photos start








The MS muffler got dropped in shipping and dented the tip and marred up the end so after I repaired that stripped the paint and hit it with a fresh coat here she is.











Now the MS muffler had a inlet pipe diameter of 1.83" the MX6 rear box is 2" for reference, and I am running 2.5" . So what I found is that the inlet on the muffler is actually 2" so with the excess tig welds on the box I was able to attach a 2 1/4" to 2.5" adapter and welded that to the rear.








I also took this out for my none baffle screw style resonator. the problem with this one was that whoever installed it installed it backwards so it was doing more harm than good.








While it was out I decided to wrap the chincy heat shield with a nice coat of peel and seal. With AMAZING results.










I tried to get a few vids of each, idle rapping it out and whatnot.

MS box is - Headers > no cat > corkscrew style resonator no baffles > GS MS muffler


There is a bit of smoke but it is mostly fuel from no cat and running the KL36 ecu. But the majority of the smoke is from it being below freezing not because the engine is cold!

Well slight update, started working on a few things.


Started the work on the MS cover, reinforcing the lower backside.


















What she will look like, just need paint! Actually for a test fit it is near perfect fitment. I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I need some bondo here and there but this is one of the best fitting FG covers I have ever put on. I must have gotten lucky.

The reason I test fit now was I was tired of these ridiculous Ebay headlights, and was changing them out. for my white panted Euro glass lights!

Much better! Those Ebay lights were just killing the looks of the car. I dont know why any MX3 guys run those things. They just look hella cheap. I like the painted glass headlights. Big step up!

Thank you! I completely agree. They have been a eye sore since I bought this car. It is so much better now. If the Egay lights did not have LED's and Halos they would not be so bad, but they do.
