Nice work man. What kind of struts did you use for the carbon hatch? Do you have a part number for them?

Not sure if any of this has been covered but hey it might help someone.

Have started collecting parts for my 5 stud conversion, will be 4 stud for a lot longer as all my drag setup is 4 stud.
Once that is over and I start tracking the car I will change to bigger brakes and this 5 stud set up.

I took the rear stub-axels off a BA V6 lantis, to run the larger 5 stud rear disk you need these Lantis rear callipers.
They mounted up to a BG rear as they both use the same cast hub.
The handbrake cable on a lantis is held by a clip where as BG is 2 adjustment nuts. Seems like it will swap over fine.
Funny enough there was a BA BP 1800 lantis there, 4 stud but with the same larger rear disk.
The callipers were the same. I've got one from each car as the opposite of each was missing.

Still need to slide-hammer out the front stub-axels as I already run BA front hubs with 4 stud stubs and a big brake kit.

Want to sort the traction uses with the BG chassis, MRP believes its a castor issue.
Custom LCA's would be great but $$$.

After reading heaps online about MX3 subframes and late model escort subframes I had a play to see what differences I could find.
In these pics I have a pair of MX3 BP 1800 (NOT V6) LCA's and a stock BG LCA.
Everyone online says the V6 MX3 has wider track and maybe a shorter subframe.
From what I found, they are the same in the subframe but the LCA puts the hub out about 10mm more each side.
It also has a much better swaybar link mounting point. This was a BP MX3, not the V6 like everyone says.. I bet they are the same!

I managed to bolt the MX3 LCA into a stock BG, it looked exactly the same, pretty hard to see 10mm, but It may have some camber advantage.
This LCA will not sort castor but its probably something better to start with.

awesome work so far! Could I ask you a favor/question? I'm curious to see how to modified the lower radiator support to use the tubular support vs the OEM stamped setup. I have a BG with a damged support, but the rest is ok, did you simply cut/box and weld a new section in? thanks in advance

welded a bar accross the front chassis rails to keep it straight, cut the lower support out and made caps like a c shape to wrap around and square off the hole, then welded a molly roll-tube bar between.
The cross member is molly tube as well and has a threaded boss in the end of it so a single M12 Capscrew goes through the new tube lower supprt and into the north south beam.
