I would be knocking on the door of my friendly banker....and then a cash offer to the guy with the goods....in a heartbeat....those do not come along very often.
Ya it's crazy lol the passenger side stub isn't even as long.... One day I plan to strip down one of my blown tranny's to see why the one is soo much longer lol.... Of course I'll take lots of pics and post them up lol

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
Ill have to look at the diagram again but it goes through the front and center diff I believe. Or it could be the front diff and transfer gear. Nice looking axle though. Rare birds.
Lol jack, i barely got started on it.... Wait til tomorrow when I have all day to get stuff done, my goal is to get the GTX trans at least on the BP and mounts back on

So last night we got dumped on like crazy with snow so I had to clear the driveway before I could start on the car... 90% of this snow fell overnight
So first I started up top un-hooking the mount, shift cables, electrical etc
Then I went underneath to unbolt the driveshaft.... I definitely found where the tranny blew lol
Check out the play on the output flange
Then down goes the driveshaft
Then I unbolted the second crossmember
Hooked up the cherry picker to lower both the engine and trans.... Almost necessary to give clearance to pull the trans off the engine
Unbolted the trans and dropped it out... After a bit of fighting, pushing, prying and swearing
Then after some more swearing prying and perseverance I got the GTX trans bolted to engine and the upper mounts back on to get the cherry picker out of the way
Thats how far I got so far, I'm on a supper break and might do more yet tonight
