I think this is the same setup that was listed for $4500 a while ago, I'd I had even $2500 to offer I'd try for it but not gunna happen unfortunately

Jack asked me to take lots of pics so here we go lol

Towed it home, glad I had a chain with me lol

Got a GTX trans out and ready to go

            Wheel off

            Drained the fluid.... Looks nasty

            Axles out

I think it's a great time to install the brand new drivers axle I've had kickin around

            Then one crossmember off

That's all for tonight... More tomorrow

Ill have to look at the diagram again but it goes through the front and center diff I believe. Or it could be the front diff and transfer gear. Nice looking axle though. Rare birds.

I'm not too worried about seeing a diagram but youre most likely right

I figure the trans is junk so I don't neeed to be able to put it back together afterwards lol

It's for the LSD diff in the trans even the Lantis LSD uses inner lengths like that. It's even grooved for fluid transfer, it's pretty neat lol

Awesome pics!! haha thanks, and damn you move quick man...I wish I had the same motivation!! Although having a work space might help haha.

So last night we got dumped on like crazy with snow so I had to clear the driveway before I could start on the car... 90% of this snow fell overnight

So first I started up top un-hooking the mount, shift cables, electrical etc

Then I went underneath to unbolt the driveshaft.... I definitely found where the tranny blew lol

Check out the play on the output flange

                          Then down goes the driveshaft

Then I unbolted the second crossmember

Hooked up the cherry picker to lower both the engine and trans.... Almost necessary to give clearance to pull the trans off the engine

Unbolted the trans and dropped it out... After a bit of fighting, pushing, prying and swearing

Then after some more swearing prying and perseverance I got the GTX trans bolted to engine and the upper mounts back on to get the cherry picker out of the way

Thats how far I got so far, I'm on a supper break and might do more yet tonight
