Damn, I need to get some wheels on mine. Looks good James, needs a 3rd gen rear bumper though. I have molded front AND rear flaps (I'm keeping my wagon for now...)

Thanks everybody for the comments, I am actually surprised how much attention and looks this thing gets.

Cody I though about the 3rd gen rear bumper but I feel the smoothness of it would look odd when the EGT bumper at the other end has so many lines in it. It wouldn't fit together.

I noticed you said you were keeping the wagon after you mentioned the flaps, you must have known I would ask you about them Does that mean your keeping that rear spoiler as well or are you still willing to sell it?

The F2T donor has arrived: A part out will probably start in a few weeks, so if anybody wants anything let me know. 5 lug swap will be up for grabs.

Body is perfect and rust free, but there was no title with the sale, engine is seized, interior is in bad shape---dash cracked very bad, most all switches broke, wiper stalk is broke off, sun roof is broke, center console broke in multiple places, ignition broke, windshield cracked, front bumper needs replaced......should I keep going? lol

300zx's Wagon work log

Well I decided to start tearing apart the mx6 while I wait for parts for other projects. Starting with inspecting the condition of the VJ11 turbo only to be disappointed to see a bent fin on the compressor side along with a groove where the blades have been making contact with the compressor housing and large cracks on both sides of the wastegate hole. By the time I pay to have this thing fixed and upgraded, I may as well spend the money on a T3 and modified manifold. I would like to find a Z31 300ZX T3 to use and now wish I would have never sold the one I had now, but I never imagined I would need it 10 yrs later lol. The biggest hurdle in all this will be using a T3 with a stock manifold while keeping the A/C.

could always use a VJ17 with a modded manifold, I'd imagine you could make the downpipe work with A/C

just flip the turbo so the inlet faces the belt side. problem solved..... extend a few wires for the VAF(if your running OEM management) & walla done deal plenty of clearance.
(why do you think i flipped the turbo around in my setup)

With a stock manifold, that will put the turbo inlet right into the back of the A/C compressor, at least where the stock compressor sits.

That reminds me, the bracket I got from you wont fit my BP compressor for some reason.

EDIT: found specs for the Z31 turbo

The 280ZX turbo and 300ZX turbo come with a Garrett T3 turbo, and the 300ZX one is water cooled. The specs are: 60 comp trim, .63 turbine trim, Compressor Diameter 51.4 mm,
Turbine Diameter 53 mm.

compressor housing .60 A/R
Turbine housing .63 A/R

Dont know if its 100% correct but I think its considered a T3 Super 60.
