The bolt holes don't line up, and I am wondering if it's because ford used a different compressor than mazda for the BP. I didn't think they did but it's possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did change it, considering the other pointless stuff they messed with like steering column, etc.

James, how is the turbine housing on that VJ11? If it is good the use a Tbird or VF10 or VF11 compressor on it and then the turbine elbow will live happily with the A/C. Hell you can even just use a VJ20 wheel..same as the VJ11. I just sold my last VJ11 compressor to a Capri guy as I usually have a couple laying around. I might have another Tbird compressor here. Take it all over to Mats at Turbo and Electric on 23rd ave and Grand.

The turbine housing is cracked around the wastegate hole. I may be picking up a Z31 T3 instead and after talking to Ryan tonight I may be able to get away with flipping the turbo around.

please measure the turbo compressor & turbine dimensions once you actually get that thing. im curious what the real specs are

Got the turbo yesterday and here are some comparison pictures of the T3 next to the VJ-11

I took the whole thing apart and inspected it and also plan on installing new seals before I run it. It has zero signs of leaking or damage and this turbo is in very good shape for its age.
Compressor: 60mm/46.5mm
Turbine:58.3mm/48.3mm

weld a V band right to the hotside. & a pipe right in the hole for an external gate. poof MAGIC

The interesting part is that even though this turbo is much bigger, if you center the turbo flange on the F2T manifold the rear of the turbo is in almost the exact same place as the VJ-11 so it looks like there shouldn't be much problem with a downpipe and A/C with this turbo. I will actually have to run an external gate with it since the flapper and arm are in the O2 housing, which is no big deal since I found a place that make a 7 bolt flange for it.

Well I got the F2T manifold from atomic in the mail today and it looks like it should be no problem making the T3 work with the A/C.

I did notice that this manifold just has the T3 flange welded to the normal IHI opening. Should I port the manifold out to match the T3 opening or just leave it as is?

my plan was to compare it to a stock manifold to see how much could safely be removed and then port it out a bit

Color matched the rear liftgate handle cover and painted the window trim black.
