a good cleaning of the intake manifold & the head ports will definitely help. its time for you to invest in a catch can tho... your PCV system is putting alot of oil back into the motor.... that'll kill performance at a scary pace.

I bough a cheap ebay "Sickspeed" catchcan. Its just an open container. I made it better by making a divider out of some aluminum plate from top to bottom and then drilling some holes in it toward the bottom of the plate to connect the chambers, then I added some steel wool to each side and closed it back up. exhaust manifold showed up today. and i decided to look at cleaning the intake manifold... Um.. before I do anything too stupid, is this actually a good way of cleaning the $h!t out of the inside of the intake manifold??

Yep, gots lots of learning to do.
I was under the impression the upper kia intake manifold was a direct swap over. Well, it's not. I've been doing some more research, and finding that the TB needs to have a triangular shape nub cut off.. Other than that, I'm working on understanding really all the difference of the two. What that canister is below the Mazda/Ford and why it's not on the kia.. Why some lines are not coming out of the kia but are on the mazda.. what that port in the bottom side of where the TB mounts to the mazda/ford unit is and why it's not on the kia. The Vac hoses on the top of the kia..
The more I think about doing to this build, the more I learn, I don't know jack.

Parts arrived today, compliment of GarageStar (GS)... Now, before I look like a dumb@$$ to them, I'll settle with looking like a dumb@$$ to you guys...
I ordered the lightweight pulleys for the NB. Alternator and Waterpump...
For starters, the GS pulleys are grooved, while my existing pulleys are not.. Did I maybe order the wrong kind???
And 2nd, I was under the impression the Alternator pulley (again ordered NB) would be identical. Well, the GS pulley is a one piece, and smaller than the oem that is a 2-piece.... Did i screw up somewhere??

EGT didn't get ribbed pulleys until 96, but that would have a bignose crank. looks like the NA6 had a ribbed crank pulley so you can prob use one of those?
