Bpt jdm gears into a bp tranny!

Can it be done... i right now have a bpt tranny it is 4x4 and is cable action instead of rod action.. but i am planning on using the gears of the JDM tranny into my protege Lx TRanny, so the gears could be a little bit shorter.. and get to the next gear faster than with the stock tranny...
When im at track or at the street... in a "racing event" i fell my lx second gear to be too slow... but we i hit the third gear ist is a diferent story..it is fast and hard.. so second is the slow shift... the info that i have says that the JDM BPT tranny hve shorter gears... aim i correct?

Questions? Could it be done? Would it be worthy?
    Thanks for your atention!

4.2 in the gtx vs the 4.1 in your NA protege...... you would see little gains from that mod. Now if you had the gears sitting around and the tranny needed a rebuild then I might would consider it.

Since they are both G series transmissions the gears will inerchange no problem from what I have read.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

You'd probably see a bigger (and easier) gain by switching to a smaller diameter tire for the track. For example, if you're running 195/55/R15's then switching to a 185/50/R14 would be similar to switching to GTX gears.

This is kind of confusing? What motor do you have? I have a BP mated to a G box, and 2nd gear is damn good for me . . .

use a MX3 final drive if you really give a ****.

ur diff is 4.11, the mx3 is 4.39 way shorter

i hate mine....i'll sell u my MX3 trans when I swap it out this winter break. It has good gears, i just hate how short they are, so i'm getting the taller 626 transmission for my car.

You can NOT fit 13's on a lx. I found this out when I went to an autox w/ a set of slicks that were 13s. Don't even waste your money.
Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

But the protege that were originally sold in here in panama with a b6 engine 16 valve soch, came with 13 rims... and they are just like the protege but lighter.. and with that engine!

it all depends on what calipers/knckles you have. DX's can STOCK with 13" rims.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?
