WHY won't my fuel pump run? please help

can someone tell me why my fuel pump won't always run when the ignition is turned on? sometimes in order for it to start working again i have to use a jumper wire on the fuel pump relay... i've already tried 3 different relays and they all do the same thing.... whos to say that im not gonna be driving and the fuel pump just quits working.
anybody with electrical knowledge please help me.

After my gtx swap, I had a similar problem. I did all the splicing and everything else but the pump refused to work. I ended up, just wiring it to the battery so it always runs at 100%. So far it works, but I have to figure out what the problem is as well.
