    Sohc turbo pictures.

    Howdy all,

    Now I’ve heard all the negative about turboing the sohc I know the limitations and costs.. So keep it out of this thread understood? What I'm after is any pictures you lot may have come across, of custom turbo setups on the BP01 or other similar, standard compression motors. Just gathering info, I already have a few pictures of sohc_1.8t’s setup (before cooler installed) just wondering if anyone has others.

    Here you go...

    It is a carburetted 16 sohc 1.6 i think...

    Don't know where i got it from... maybe from here maybe from somewhere else... i dunno...

              Racingmazda.com has one for the 1.6 L SOHC. I don't know if it would fit the 1.8 L or not....

                as ghetto as it is, i'd still love to see the power figures over stanard lol..

                            First off i did not buy that. I was thinking about it but that setup on a SOHC 1.6 L vs a BP swap then turboing that for the same amount of Money looked better to me. That kit is available from www.racingmazda.com although the webpage does not show it there is a 2nd stage. This is under the MX-3 part btw. I am pretty sure it will fit the 1.8 L SOHC seeing that are about the same engine. I would email them and ask if it would fit and How much the 2nd Stage kit is. It has a IC and an emanage. Thats about all that I know.

                              the 1.6L and 1.8L exhaust manifolds are different from what I have read. You would need a new exhaust manifold made for the 1.8L.
                              The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.
