Yea, I'm a newbie to the forum here and I just bought a 94 egt for bout $500. Ther alt just let go yesterday and I'm trying to replace it, but I can't seem to maneuver it out of the engine bay. It's fully unbolted and disconnected, but I can't figure out where to pull it out of the vehicle. I'm just praying that it doesn't involve removing the cvshaft. I know you guys have to have replaced more than your fair share of these things so any help is greatly appreciated

Aha
I finally figured it out. I had to remove the vac solenoid block on the pass side of the intake then coax it upwards. now the bad news, on the way to the parts store, a rear strut mount broke. Could this be a sign that paying $500 for a project car is a bad thing? It must be the Ford in it LOL
