opinions and ideas on why the car runs so bad (description)

1991 egt. basically what it does it blows a LOT of blue smoke and sounds like it's missing on 1cyl. can an ignition problem make it smoke like this? i don't really think so but i'm not sure. is it possible that one ring has gone bad? what does club protege think?

Sounds like rings are gone (maybe even piece of piston/rings went boom) so thus all the oil gets pushed up and thus you smoke alot and also missing 1 cylinder... poort egt! =(

damn thats the only thing i could think of too. at least another motor is only 150$ or so at the junk yard, and pistons and rings would be cheap as well. where can i get rings for this motor new?
