our NZDM is BP22 inlet and BP05 Exhaust
JDM gear we get is BP05 inlet BP06 exhaust

so if your using both BP06 cams, then i guess i'll follow suit

i'll give you all an update in about 3-4 hours

      thanks

the BP22 is suppose to be more aggressive then a BP05 inlet cam if i remember right.

                        well all i can say is;

when using the ExhINT mod with the follow engine doesnt work

                        9.8:1 BP22 pistons
                        BHA 12kg crank
                        GTR flywheel
BHA 1st gen head, with casting lines removed
BHA new 2nd gen valves, springs, retainers etc
                        1st gen BP06 exhaust cam
BP22 BP05 exhaust cam as Inlet cam <---didnt work
BP 2nd gen BP06 exhaust cam as inlet cam <--also didnt work
BG Inlet manifold with the Cut VICS options, all cast lines removed, polished
OEM cast exhaust manifold flange enlarged to 2" and with mazdaspeed lantis 2" exhaust system

Same results with ether OEM computer or Link G3 computer

sorry guys didnt work for me,

so the cam you are taking is a cam off a SOHC and putting it on a DOHC?

I'm so confused. I've read this post a few times and I still don't get it.

i have bp-ze infini and i used a bp22 for intake duties and the bp06 for exhaust and it seems to be pretty good is very driveable and seems to have a bit at low end

also i used bp06 and bp06 and it was very good at 100km just cruised awesome also had good torque

Ok so where do I get a bp22 and a bp06? what car what year?

                              Comment

for the exintake mod you use the standard bp06 exhaust cam on exhaust and a bp06 exhaust cam modified at the disty end to fit in the cam cover and use that on the intake side it has a better down low i found the bp22 to be better and is more free revving and just cruising at 60 or 70km it wanted to really go

                                i have a bp2 engine

the bp22 is a higher compression and more aggressive cammed engine im not 100% sure what it is from ... i got my bp22 cam from a tx3i engine over here in NZ the exhaust cam that came with that cam was a bp05

my pic in finding both of those cams

the bp06 is from a BP2 engine in protege and mx3 i think (SOMEBODY CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG) its stamped behind the exhaust manifold so get a bp06 and modify it for your intake side

now BP22 not 100% sure what you have over there i heard they were rare over there so it could be in anything look for more high performance models when you find one you can just fit it in your intake and your away

mine took a wee while to adjust so reset ecu and was fine
