    Mass Air Flow Meter Upgrade

Hello all, Im dropping a 1.8L SOHC 16 Valve into my '92 323 from a '94 Protege DX and Im looking to see what Mass Air Flow meters I can use to gain more Flow and less restrictive-ness. Im basically going hotrod style, and frankenstiening the engine with as many bigger/better stock components from other compatable vechiles as possible. Just so you all know why Im looking to do this. Thanks.

There's a whole proceedure for tuning the RX-7 B-code(or if you make a hybrid AFM like I did) AFM, use the search function of the forums.

Can anybody confirm this? And what do you mean exactly by 'runt the teeth on the wheel inside till it idle's right' ...? Not to sound like dumbass, but I would like to know exactly how it works.

Didn't mean to sound rude or anything but I've explained it many times in the past and I don't think I can explain it as well as I did before at the moment.

Speaking of 'SEARCH'. Which is where most people find out the info they need. I am thinking maybe we need to make the 'SEARCH' button bigger and throw some neon lights around it. The info you are seeking has been talked about several times and can be found by using the 'SEARCH' button

yep rx7 vaf is your best bet. however(this is not shared with the other members of this board) i think that the rx7 vaf is unneeded i know there is supposedly a 5- 8 gain useing the rx7 vaf but i dont see how seeing the vaccum amount in the air intake tube there is no reason that a rx7 vaf would help. unless you modify the rest of the breathing of the engine ie port and polish of head intake tb highflow exhaust ect. otherwise i think the gains are just from the actual tuneing of the vaf which you can tune the stock one also.
