Easiest way to adjust your adjustable cam gears?

So I finally got my car started!!... WOO!

Only thing is I forgot the check that the bolts on the cam gears were tight...

Now they're both set to 12 degrees advanced... I undid the bolts on the gear, and tried to move them, and no dice. It was late and haven't tried anything else yet...

What do you suggest I do to move them back, is there any tricks?

I was thinking take the valve cover off and put a wrench on it and turn them back... but there's gotta be an easier way.

This is how I did it on my civic with an aem gear.

    Loosen the adjust bolts
    Turn crank bolt

That's it lol. This way the cam stays but the belt will move the gear. Good luck.

Just remove them. Its easy enough to do on these cars and then you know it will all br right. Plus its the only good way to get all the bolts tight on the gears.
