    Sensor Questions

So lets see if I have this straight, after doing a search I am confused here, IE. there is a sensor for the gauge, a sensor the fan and another for the ecu, I am guessing that one for the ECU is the one that will affect gas milage and general running. I am about to go for the emissions testing, and I intend to replace the Coolant sensor and the 02 sensor. I don,t want to take any chances even though the 323 is running super. The fan comes on as needed, and the temperature gauge always runs dead center on the gauge.

    Correct, correct annnnnnnnnd correct!

PS: Personally if your mileage is still good (above 30mpg) and everything runs great, don't touch the sensors.

the one for the ecu is on the side of the cyl head close to the intake manifold
the one in the thermostat housing is for the fan
the one in the front of the cyl head is for the temp gauge

I'm geting 22-23 mpg city/hwy. I drive the car to and from work only and its 13 mile. 6 city and 7 hwy 1 way. The O2 is new, thermostate housing fan sensor is new,the one on the side close to the thermostat housing is new. Could that last senmsor make the milege drop? My old pro was getting 25-26 city and 33 hwy. the last trip I took was 27-28mpg hwy in this one.

bumping this for curiousity. my temp gauge doesn't work anymore but my fan and crap come on when they're supposed to.

do i have to replace that little ground clip sensor that's threaded at the FRONT of the cylinder head just under the thermostat housing??

also wtf is it called? this is the part i need to be mazda if its a mazda bp...right?

You may need to "clean" your MAF - if you have one. Do you see oil (or oil deposits) in the intake/TB?
