    Mbsp

Since I have a 94 EGT will I need to have my oil pan milled to fit a MBSP? I plan on getting once for a 2001+ Miata so that is why I am asking.
Block is almost done, cylinders are overboard for Weisco pistons, pro gram billet main caps have been line bored, and my chinese EDT rods have been machined to right specs. Everything has been balanced.

I dont think the miata one works.

Just get one out of a SOHC BP... they all came with one.

I got the Miata one for mine... and the only difference is that it has a stud sticking up in the middle cause the oil pick up tube is in a different place. I had to cut it off... waste of time.

I didn't know they made SOHC BPs.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

What different models came with a MBSP? I should be able to stop by a few JY here in Germany next week so I might be able to snag one.

              I'll start:

              SOHC Protege
              DOHC Protege

              What else?

Us North Americans get ripped off by the car companies and take short cuts wherever they can so they can make the most money... they don't care about the overall performance of the car, just how much money they can make off us by short cutting. Bastards!

Us Canadians get it worse cause they up the price of the car by 30% just cause it crosses the border... &%$#@!!!

Anyone have the part number for the protege MBSP? I was thinking about calling up a Mazda OEM parts dealer to see if I could get a new one from them

Also, if I found one in the JY here, what tools would I need to take it out. If I remember right, 10 or 12mm for the oilpan but what size for the bolts going into the main caps?

WAIT A SEC!!! I just thought, I am buying my buddies 1991 Euro Spec 323 in May. Anyone think it would have the MBSP? Parts will be FS whenever I can get the car too.

The MBSP is held on with reverse Torx bolts. A regular socket won't take them out. You might get a couple...but probably strip some.

I hate those reverse torx bolts. my f150 had those holding the driveshaft to the diff. I couldn't get them out with anything so I had to take apart the universal to get the shaft off. they suck

Anyone actually know the answer to his question? Since Fords didn't get the MBSP I've read in the past that you need to make clearance on either the block or the oil pan for it, or else the gasket doesn't seal properly or something.
