    bp-t with T25/T28 Turbo Kit ???

hello, i've seen a turbo kit at ebay, the only problem is, its for a 1994-2003 Mazda Miata Mx-5 1.8L DOHC!!!
so my question is can i take the manifold and the turbo to fit at my bp engine and take another downpipe? cause the price for this set is ok and i have no other turbo found at this time...

It's for a Miata, so the turbo will be facing the opposite way, plus the downpipe wont line up since it's made for a RWD car lol.

You can use the manifold though.

On that note, just buy the manifold seperately and piece together a turbo setup that way.

Those ebay manifolds are not really designed with strength in mind. They mostly just look pretty. If you're going to make a SS turbo manifold, it should be made out of schedule 10 pipe. The thicker material would be much stronger and less likely to crack due to stress.

if you already have the manifold, then you can definitely add some bracing to it.

You can get away with making some brackets that simply bolt on.

I would have 2 support brackets. Connecting from 2 of the turbo flange bolts and support them to the flange bolts if you wanted, nice and short will keep it very strong.

Or you can skip all of that and find a spot on the turbo itself to support it with, also recommend at least 2 spots. In reality the turbo manifold would fail due to the weight it's holding...support the weight it's holding, and it should be good, no?

edit: here's a pic of a stock turbo support bracket that uses 2 of the bolts on the turbo flange as stated above.

jack, do you have any pics of how that mounts? ive been toying with the idea of one of these manis and how i would brace it.

that's just a random support bracket that illustrated my idea of using the bolts on the turbo flange as means of securing it to the head/block.
