    b6 disti on a bp?

could it work for a temp replacement? my BP swap never came with one. the b6 disti is in the BP now, and is pulling a code 3. i know the disti is good too, ran fine on my b6.

if it does work, then i'll change the plug on the harness, it looks like it's been repaired.

    thanks!

    JACK.

I have a BP disty I could sell you fairly cheap
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

If the BP dist is the same as a BPT, they're different enough that she no gonna work. Mechanical advance in the b6, hall effect or optical and advance by ecu in the bp.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I have been using a B6 dist in my BP swapped MX-3 for more than 2 years and it works just fine.

The tabs are different, dunno how you want to mount it but with 1 bolt, it might leak. Can you even place it in the same position as the BP? If so, it should work as internally, they are the same.
