    o2 sensor bung

I have the stock GTX downpipe I want to weld the bung on for my AEM so I can use both o2 sensors (stock and wideband). is the downpipe from the turbo cast iron? I want to weld it with my mig welder.

My car runs a little weird with the AEM plugged in.

Yes it is cast iron. Just weld the bung for the wideband a little farther down in the exaust pipe.

Most people that weld on cast iron, that I've seen and been around, use a nickel rod with an arc welder. Before welding, they preheat the cast with a torch. Then, once done with the welding, you want to weld to cool off VERY slowly. Nothing I would attempt myself, on something expensive anyways.

i might just take it to a shop or at least practice first on some other cast iron I have around. I welded the downpipe after I cut it to change it I dont imagine it's any different.
