i was running a complete ebay timing belt kit on the GTR, no problems. i replaced the belt with a gates blue one because i felt like it. i saved the belt and just installed it in my new beater which should be up and running soon...

its just a belt, it seemed to be no better or worse than any standard replacement part

doesn't matter that much on these cars. if it breaks, you're stranded till you replace it. no catastrophic engine damage like a honda.

i put like 9k miles on the belt and pulleys, then another 3k on the pullies with the fancy Gates belt. no problems, and like i said i just re-used the belt on another car.

i have no idea about the water pump, i retained the original GTR one.
