    Clutch compatibility Q!

Soooo I'm on the hunt for a clutch/flywheel combo for the upcoming Pro LX I have coming.

I was curious if a miata 1.6L flywheel/clutch combo will fit in there no problem! found some good deals on combos.

theoretically it should work fine but the 1.6 uses a smaller diameter clutch than the BP. less holding power and it will wear out faster.

you will not be able to use the miata throwout bearing

yea, i know about the throw-out bearing, had a 1.8 Miata clutch kit on my old Protege GT lol.

Would the clutch kit not be lighter if it's smaller than stock too though?

yeah it will theoretically be a little lighter. road race miata guys almost always run a super light 1.6 clutch for weight savings. like a 4 puck unsprung on an aluminum flywheel etc...
