    DS axle problem

I'm putting in a new GSP driver side axle in my soon to be EGT-R and it won't go in all the way. It only needs to go in less than 1/8 of an inch before the circlip is properly seated in the differential side gear. Has anyone had this problem or can anyone offer a solution??

    Thanks
    Scott

first off, you're 100% sure it is the correct axle?

the easiest way is to grab the axle shaft and just push, quick and sharp. the inner joint will bottom out, and all that force will cause the axle to pop into place.

The pic shows how far it will go in. At that point there is play and the axle can be pulled out a tiny little bit and then can be pushed back in. The axle I took out, as well as the one on my '92 sat flush with the tranny case.

When you took the old one out, did you compare the spine shaft length?
