    1st gen. protege accessories

i'm looking for the additional accessories for the protege. i've got the euro-gt full equiped. at least i thought so. i heard that there's more stuff?

so, list of things i know for sure (may not use the right words ):

    - electronic mirrors
    - central locks
    - abs from '91 or '92
    - switch for the headlight distance
    - electronic windows and roof
    - sport seats
    - heated seats (already mentioned here)

    things others told me:
    - air conditioning (???)

is this all or is there anything else?

i'm not looking for those parts like looking-for-buying, more like looking-for-crying-what-i-can't-get-cos-its-too-expensive-or-just-impossible.

headlights: you might send me money, and i'd send you headlights new ones will cost around 140 euro + shipping. it's a lot of money, eh?

photos: my computer went to heaven (i hope hell) so this is the only i've got, but i try to make some new.

are you saying you'd be willing to send headlights to the US pending we send you the $$

would you like to become a dealer for some e-spec parts???
if so we could help you set up group buys... im sure we could get plenty of interest in european parts without a problem

P.S. WELCOME ABOARD the club... if there is anything we can do for you let us know

welcome to the board by the way protege gt
please realize being that in germany, you have access to many euro parts for our cars that are in demand over here. You probably will get swamped by many looking for espec mazda parts. Feel free to say no, as the board is a welcome source of knowledge, and we dont want to scare anyone away. However if you do chose to sell parts, you probably can make some money on the side real easy.

                    he said 140 euro
                    140 Euro = 172.956 US Dollar

                    still an awesome price though.

I do like the conversion. How did you do that if you dont mind me asking.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

honestly, power mirrors aren't that hard to come by in the US.. a complete assembly would run you $45 US dollars through me, plus shipping.. also, the power mirrors available around here are usually body colored.. ie could be white, blue, red.. etc. as far as direct application to your car, i would assume it'd be just the same as the protege, but there are plenty of members here US based that would be willing to ship parts out to ya. there's a wealth to be had. as far as what you've listed:
                      - electronic mirrors - discussed
                      - central locks - actuators and all parts can be pulled from any US spec LX fairly cheap
                      - abs from '91 or '92 - no 90 to 94 mazda 323 or protege were equipped with ABS, NOR airbags
                      - switch for the headlight distance - high beams? i don't know what you're talking about there
                      - electronic windows and roof - power window controls and motors can be pulled for cheap as well, just don't know personally the modifications/adaptations you would have to make
                      - sport seats - in the US, there are a few Recaro designed sport bucket seats available for under $100 US dollars pulled, however shipping over seas would cost you an arm and a leg
                      - heated seats (already mentioned here) - might be available via custom fabrication.. nothing you'd have to go through us to get.. parts should be available through any European accessories dealer.
hope this helps you a bit, and welcome to the club
                      peace
p.s. as you can imagine, European specific parts are HIGHLY desirable amongst US homed protege owners. as far as headlights, our US and canadian housings are all plastic, which after 10 to 15 years yellow, and with a weak bulb like a 9004, the glass housed H4 designs of the E-spec headlights, we'd much appreciate as much light as we can get.. also, the glass european housings do NOT age like our plastic lamps. parts sought typically by us.. yet so hard to come by, E-spec headlights, 323 familia rear trunk/boot lid garnish, some gtr/gtx platform body parts (though not european specific), GTR grilles (complete with headlights), etc.

whoa, thanks for the nice and stormy welcome.

first of all, my pro has the most of the accessories, i don't want to buy them.
abs was stock in e-specs since '91 or '92 but i guess only the 1.9 liter had it. i've no abs and installing it is so tricky (sensors, controller) that it's cheaper an and easier to buy a 92- gt. but i'm very interested in air conditioning! the weather sucks in the recent years (summer 40°c/100°f and more, winter -20°c/0°f). one guy told me that there was air conditioning (just like th mx-3 had) so i thought that you guys know more.

                          @ cablemirc
wow! now i know what you guys mean with _folding_ mirrors! my mirrors have a electronic movable glas, not the whole mirror (you can fold it by hand).
the sunroof was stock at my model, too. click my sig and you can see it at the full image.
sport seats were stock, too. see the attched images.

                          selling stuff:
i have no clue about shipping, payment or anything. a friend bought a headlight some weeks ago and it cost 70.- euro, that's why i know the price. but if you want to by some i'll send that stuff to the us or somewhere. he got it from here, you can get the pricing for each model (hatch/sedan) there.

any chance I could get a GTX/GTR front strut tower bar? i could send the AC radiator and condensor to you with some $$ for the strut tower bar.depending on how much it costs to get one
