    Couple V6 swap questions...

    1) Exhaust. Will aftermarket headers fit with a KLZE stuffed in the engine bay of a BG?

    2) Clutch. What clutch do you guys use? MX3 transmission will be used. MX3 clutch? MX6/Probe clutch? Stock? Or would i do well to get something a little beefier?

Depends on the headers really. you might have some clearence issues with the rear headers flange hitting the crossmember. but you wont know untill you try. if it does hit, just cut the flange off, and have them re-weld it at a slight angle when you get the rest of your exhaust done for the v6.

for a clutch. u can use any k8/kl clutch. or even the older f2 2.2 n/a clutch's are the same. me personally, cheapest id go is southbend stage 1. i wouldnt even bother tossing anything less then that in.

We're looking at July most likely. I'm going to make damn sure i've got EVERYTHING before i even bother tearing down the Deathscrotum. And i've got to decide if i want a JDM KLZE or a KLG4.

            Got the MX3!!!!!

Only 86,000 miles, too. :D Paid a little more than i was hoping to, but low miles, and the interior is in good shape. Should be able to make at least half my investment back parting out what i don't need.

Nah... i'd rather cannibalize it for my 272k mile Escort.

It's not THAT nice... the car has some pretty major frame rust, and it really isn't structurally sound anymore. The trip to bring it home will be the last drive it will ever make. I'll be sure to renew my AAA membership before i go pick it up just in case the car collapses under me on I70.

decent find. theres a local dohc 4 cyl mx3 with 13k miles that hidden away. owner is dying cause he owns a 12 sec kl swapped mx3 SE, and a 13.6 DD/winter KL swapped mx3 se! lol. he wants to swap a kl into that 13k mile car so badly, but is scared to ruin the fact its so young stilL!

im running old style pacesetters with only a slight flange to oil pan issue. alittle dremel time and the flange now has extra clearance.

im running a SPEC (rebuilt oem) pressure plate and a ebay 6-puck with no issues so far, I love the engagement feel on this setup

Build the KLG4 to ZE specs or better. Thats what I was planning before. Bump the compression and regrind the cams, the manifold is already good I hear, along with valvetrain being better as well

Your probably better off just buying the ze instead of building the klg4. Probably cheaper in the long run also.
