exhaut likes nice gradual angles and bends. hint hint... mandrel bent vs crush bent.

well i have miscalculated on this. seems i need to re-work this design a bit.

first is factory layout

second is current layout

third is what i would modify it to

this would be ideal at a 12* convergent angle.

yah yah i kno ...almost the same specs as the factory.

factory is shorter and has a different angle with a smaller opening. this opens it up a lil and provides a not-so-steep angle.

shoulda done all this research again before i did thisss!!! yeah..kickin myself in the ass right now but its how we learn. hope everyone learned from my somewhat expensive mistake.

not the prettiest welds. but who's counting?? finally got the welder to work correctly (chart was wayyyy off)

finally got all the parts i needed and got 'er fabbed up. could be better, but could be worse.

On second thought, the more i look at it...the more i hate it... I'm definitely going to touch this up a bit. Especially since I have another one of these collectors.

edit: lookin at it more...im gonna bring it tighter to the oil pan as well by about an inch.
