Your car came with a B8,
As you can see the BP clutch is bigger.
But, if you use the flywheel and pressure plate from the bp as well, then you should be fine. Think of the flywheel, clutch pressure plate as a package. You can change the package, but not parts of the package.Last edited by 1st Gen; 02-26-2011, 08:06 PM.1991 Protege LX with GTX swap, DD1990 4WD Protege with GTX swap, Project/garage decoration2006 Mazda 3 with 2.3, Her car1980 Ford F100 Short bed with 300ci 6 cylinder, work truck/home for moss

If you're using the BP GTX flywheel, you have to use a BP GTX clutch kit.
1st gen is 100% correct about matching the clutch kit to the flywheel.
If you swap out your flywheel for a FWD BP flywheel, you will have no issues-Jack

in one of my 4WDs, the one with the B8, I'm using a Flyin' Miata lightweight flywheel, and an ACT clutch from an MX6/Probe. Light flywheel FTW. very strong pedal, not so much. Still works fine, but it is a strong spring to deal with.
I plan on using the whole FM Clutch Happy Meal with my next change, since it uses a clutch that has a higher torque rating than the ACT, but with the finger geometry changed so the pedal effort is not as hard.
