brand and quantity of oil needed in G seeries tranny

Hi,

I have a tranny of a protege GT with my bpt gtr in my mx3 and I want to know which brand of oil do you put in the tranny and what's the quantity.

I have Royal Purple Synchromax for my FWD BPT, I was going to use their 75/w90 but remembered how well the Synchromax worked out for me the last time.

Redline is also a great one. Clubprotege has gone over this topic numerous times though, so feel free to search around for company names. I'd only go Royal Purple, Redline, or the GM synchromesh/equivalent.

3L and you'll have some extra I believe the capacity is around 2.8L if memory serves me correct.

For some reason I'm thinking it was 3.2. Also I run syncromesh in mine. Had a little downshift into 2nd grind and it went away after a little time after changing over to it

back to the topic.... 7 pints of fluid is the fill capacity for the G5M (G-series) transmission. 7 pints = 3.5 US Quarts = 3.3 RESTOFWORLD Liters

3.8 L = 4 Quarts/ 1 Gallon

Ummm... Honda MTF is nothing more and nothing less that 10w30 motor oil... I really wouldnt recommend that in the Gseries.

jack... 3.5 quarts not litres. its 3.3 litres. but that lil bit isnt gonna destroy anything. i've had a leak in mine coming from somewhere and i cant find where since i installed it. have ran 'er pretty low and no troubles whatsoever. knock wood.
