    Bpt or KLZE

Well guys i got my 323 running with the bp and it isnt fast enough for me so im wondering which would be better boosting my na bp, buying a gtr bpt or getting a klze. i can get a mx-3 with a klze for 1500$. the klze is low mileage so idk what i should do

My suggestion would be to boost the BP in your 323. Then find a spare BP to rebuild on the side in case you get tired of how ever much power you put down with the first engine.

just get the KLZE MX-3. You save time and money by buying a car with a swap.

Boosting the BP will definitely change the power band to your liking. You will also have a nice increase of torque with the turbo spool.

A KL is a decent engine, but requires much more maintenance than a BP in my mind. I know personally, and from seeing other KL issues. I've also owned a few BP powered cars as well.

lol funny you bring this up. my brother (4gethonda) and i have been in a long battle between our setups. he has always gone V6 (he owned a two door escort with a milena ZE and a hybrid DE/ZE turboed wagon) and i have always wanted to stay BP for the fact they are simple but powerful motors. i would go with a BP-t just for the fact of it being turboed. going fast in an n/a car isnt that cool. i would rather hear the turbo scream.

factory GTX turbo setup is ok for a beginners setup, as long as you can find the parts from the same person, if not, it get's a bit expensive sourcing out the parts individually.

You can probably run a GTX setup for the same cost as a T3 setup with a Miata turbo manifold, I'd imagine....since I've seen GTX manifold/turbo go for $450 or so, and that's used.
