    clutch issue?

    Hey guys, so every once in a while my clutch feels like it looses hydraulic power, I'll pump it a couple times n then it's fine. It seems to happen when I take it up to 5 or 6 grand rpms. Any ideas,? Break fluid is full.
    97 Z28 Camaro 5.7 LT1,
    K&N CAI,
    3' Exhaust W/Hooker muffler
    160' Hypertech thermostat
    TB water delete
    4.10 motive gears
    Powerstop drilled n slotted rotors n pads
    Z06 rims

    92 Protege Lx, Bp -
    Custom cold air intake
    Gready exhaust
    Front and rear strut bars
    5% tint
    Pear blue calipers
    Flat black 7 spoke alloy rims
    KYB GR-2 shocks
    Eibach Pro Lowering springs

      Sounds like you have a problem with he clutch master or slave cup. Id look knot replacing the slave cyl first. That's usually the problem. Also might want to look into the rubber clutch line that runs between both. It's an old car.

        yep, probably clutch master.

        Inside the car, follow the clutch pedal up til you see a long push rod. The push rod activates the clutch master piston, pushing it forwards. Check around for any signs of moisture as they often leak in the car, not in the engine bay.

        I have also had issues with the fluid sharing from the brake master cylinders reservoir as well. Where the hose seals into the clutch master it was allowing air to enter causing bubbles, then eventually started leaking on me.

            yep, master. if pressure comes back after pumpin it it's usually that. Slave is more obvious, what with the inevitable leak. When the master goes it can just recirc the fluid round the piston and not leak at all.
