    o2 sensor?

Im in need of a new one and rock auto has one for $25 but my buddy says bosch is the way to go and theres is $113, wasnt really planning on spending that much on a o2 sensor but is that the way to go, or is a o2 sensor an o2 sensor, thanks

I have found Bosch o2 sensors to prematurely fail vs other brands. That was with single wire non heated. I don't know how their heated sensors fair. Buy the $25 sensor (unless its some complete crap sensor). Its not worth spending over $100, worst case you replace the $25 sensor with a new one in a couple years and still save yourself $63. I would never recommend buying the "cheaper" o2 sensor personally. Denso and NTK sensors are inexpensive, and work great.

if it's a true 96, you'll have a 4 wire o2 sensor. Please check or you're possible ordering the wrong part that won't work.

Yes that did help, the guy who previously had the car mustve cut the wire and it was wrapped it a ton of electrical tape, but i found it and took the plug in off an extra wiring harness i had laying around so now im good, thanks for the the help

Yes it turned out to be a one wire but the car is a 96. So somewhere along the lines someone must've changed the wiring harness.
