    vj-20 boosting at 18psi

hey guys, havn't been on in awhile but I figured id let you in on my adventure today. I went to lowe's and bought a cobalt air pressure regulator for 15$ and hooked it up to my waste gate. Its not as persise as id like it but when I shut it all the way my boost reads at 18 psi. I though vj-20s max out at 16?

I've hit 1.5+ bar before with a VJ20, so clearly not.

I am sure you would have no problem hitting 18psi daily. Is it safe? NO. If you want it to live don't run over 14 psi.

You're blowing hot air past 15psi, it's only hurting performance. The turbo can probably boost over 20psi, doesn't mean that's what it'll efficiently run though.

no problemo! An EGT gauge (exhaust gas temperature) will show you this as well, definitely a good investment if you're running higher boost and running it hard.
