What is the sensor on back of a BP-T(gtx) above the EOP sending unit?

I swapped my BP-T from my escort gt to a four door lx donor body last weekend and I noticed a sensor above my EOP sending unit on the back of the engine under the intake manifold. Could this be a knock sensor? It was leaking a bit of oil though so it seemed like an additional oil pressure sender...maybe for a lamp? It's two wires on it's connector whereas the EOP sender is one wire.

yes that is a knock sensor. its highly unlikely that it is leaking oil. but it is probable the crap they seal the sensor with looks like oil coming out OR oil that got slung around the engine bay a bit.
The sensor itself is not in a oil pressurized hole.

It more often collects oil from the eop sensor above it.

'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
