MIATA SEATS?? fitment issues?

i've had the opportunity to sit in some miata seats... and i think they offer a hell of alot more comfort than a regular protege seat. how well would they fit into our cars?
can you just change the seat rails?
anyone tried this?

You should be able to change the rails on any seat (provided it's something like the right width) and make it fit, but it'll involve some welding.

ah i see ... i could do the small amount of welding... but i want to know first if it just bolts right on. or if its too small before i go out and buy a set.

i've sat in the newer 2003 and 2004 miata's... not sure about the older models...
the newer ones were really nice.

good luck finding a set of 2002+ seats tho.... those are for 1 rare as fuk in j/y and most ppl love the leather seats and dont wanna give them up easily.

Check Miata.net's classified section. I'm sure you could find a set of cloth seats for a reasonable price.

200 bux for a black cloth set. Thats alot to blindly spend (especially after shipping and what not) only to find out that they do not fit.

Oh and if I were you I would pay the 50 bux more and go with the tan leather. Then have the leather re done in black or whatever to match your interior.

Whats wrong with 'em? I rode in a miata before and don't remember anything bad about the seats. Granted it was a while back.
