---- Do i have to report that to the DMV?
---- IF so is there any way to update the mileage on the LX cluster?

I don't believe you have to mention it to the DMV, but you might want to talk to your insurance company so they know why the mileage is off. Of course different states have different rules so it couldn't hurt to check with your DMV as well.

trade ya my lx with all the power option for your awd. the only thing you hav to do is replace the tensioner bolt for the a/c pump and find out why it dont engage. cc works and so does the power steering but needs new seals in the rack.

You can get a cupholder from a junkyard and cut it to fit your floorpan. I know because I recently did that to mine.

Don't know what to tell you about AC or PW. I have AC and don't want PW.
            Hope that helps.

Is the fluid level correct? Is the belt the proper tension? Does the pump make any noises? Are there any leaks?

                Just get rid of it!

                  Sounds tempting!

Arent the cupholders cheap though? As in you cant fit a large drink in them nor drive with anything there without them tipping? I'm going to see if I can find a '95 Escorts set of cupholders. My GF has a '95 Escort and consoles look as if it might fit with a little work. And then I could just cut the bottom out and have the drinks rest on the rug and not have the cheapie plastic frame cupholders.

I had a similar problem trying to do the same swap. The steering wheel doesn't tilt, so I couldn't get the damn thing to fit in. Never removed a steering wheel before and I was just getting pissed off at the whole ordeal, so in a fit of rage I somehow jammed the cluster in there past the steering wheel. I don't know how I did it without breaking anything, but it hey it worked

lol don't know how you managed that. You can get it in there with out removing the wheel. You take off the plastic around the column. That revals a couple bolts that once loosened will allow the column and wheel to tilt down.

You just have to make sure u remove all the switches AC,Defroster and two blank switches on the left side ( they are still connected from behind) .
After that every thing just pulls off. No need to remove steering wheel

Although its a bitch removing the wires behind the cluster (barely any room for my hands)

If you swap a BP into a DX it's always nice to have the LX cluster because it will have the correct redline on the tach.

What the heck, tilt steering column was an option?? That sucks how Mazda would charge that as an added option.

Why? These cars obviously werent intended for the 400lb+ people with guts that overlap their steering wheels. I hate when I see 300lb people rolling around in a Metro or the like, its funny lol
