I have a similar feeling about wagons. Station wagon type cars are so much easier to get things in and out of and also let you fit so much more in. However, I buy the better car I can afford even if I lose that option. That means I currently don't own a wagon. I loved my 98 Escort Wagon but after the crash, it was never the same. I had to sell it. I then got a 99 Tracer with 76,000 miles for $300 because the auto tranny was bad. I had it repaired for $700 so I had a great working and looking car for a thousand bucks. That was 2 years ago so the car was newer then.

          JACK.
The Package name was Web, power door lock system, they still have them at our Princess auto here in Ottawa I saw them just last week, the package is black and yellow, the power trunk opener was just in a little plain cardboard box. The power locks are for a four door so you get 4 actuators with one of them being a master so you have 2 spare actuators, they also have the remote. I had a friend who installs alarms and sound systems add a relay so I could have the trunk on the remote as well. I have an auto starter so everything is on the same remote.

BTW the hardest part of the install was running the wiring into the doors, but nothing too serious. It also takes a little trial and error to get the trunk opener set up, but again it ain't rocket science. I have had them on for 2 years now and still working like new, I also added these to a Corolla I had years ago, the person who bought it from me still has it and the locks still work after about 12 years, I didn't get them at Princess but they were similar so they seem to hold up.

Perfect! Thanks man, i dont know if i'll go with the hatch release, mine has the inside lever for it by the gas door release. I'm definately gonna have to try the door lock kits though. I'll probably just end up drilling a small hole and then sealing it up afterwards if nothing works out.

            thanks!

Clean out the cowling, ducts, and blower cage.

Chances are it's never been done before. You'll be suprised what you find in there.

I have the PWR windows, locks, mirrors, hatch release, and the door panels. The swap is easy and can be done in about three hours. Cruise countrol would be nice, which will be my next odd mod.

Ya but you know the nice about the power hatch release, it is nice to be able to open the hatch from outside with the remote, no screwing around with a key and a frozen or sticky lock when it is 30 below and you have an armful of packages.

I would like to confirm what MD323 stated previously regarding the PWR window regs. LX regs will not fit your 2 door hatch, but may be possible with some drilling. The PWR door looks are a slice of pie to do. All you need is the stricker from an LX driver's side and the lock actuator from the passenger side. Funny thing, I sourced a lock actuator from a BF LX sedan and it worked perfectly with my 323.

Got a pro lx with a blown motor yesterday, Started wrenching today and im disappointed. The power mirrors wont fit. Locks and windows should be fine but i would need gtx door cards. Cruise should work. pissed me off about the mirrors though. anyone figured a way to make em work?

Well I started working with the LX mirrors. They work! I had to get out the dremel and grind alittle and then trimmed the window weather strip. Fits nice, not perfect, but with alittle more trimming it would look OEM. Here are some pics, you can see where its not perfect towards the rear. In person its not noticable. These pics make the gap look huge but its only about 1mm.

Any further away pics? Looks nice, needs a lil more work then you're golden! I might do this too if i can't find any powered 323s at the yard come spring.
