After reading all your answers I decided to go ahead and try to get the console in my 323. I just have the center console, no other dash panels or e-brake console part, just the shifter/radio housing part. The side on the glove box lines up fine but the steering wheel dash panel in the 323 doesnt line up perfectly with the mx-3 console, it does work though.
The most difficult part was the heater controls. I wasn't sure how much I had to remove from the plastic that surrounds them and I ended up taking out too much and had to figure out how to remount them. Mostly you just need to remove the plastic that sticks out above the heater controls and a little bit on the sides. Its also easier to shave the back of the trim on the mx-3 console so that it fits around the heater controls.
Like anything everybody will figure out a little different way to get this stuff to fit so I hope that helps somebody a little bit.
