Anyone know whats up with the tinted side mirrors?

I was at the junkyard today and noticed that some of the proteges and 323s with manual mirrors had this blue tint on the side mirror glass. I took a pic, but it looks normal in the picture and you cant see the tint at all. I tried to grab a pair to bring with me. However, seeing as the mirror is a pain in the ass to remove from the housing, I ended up breaking a few sets trying

There's still a few sets at the junkyard, I'll probably go back tomorrow and give it another try, but anyone know if the mirror glass from a manual side mirror swaps over to the power mirrors?

I fixed the wobble on my power mirrors.

                    > When the plastic brackets break off, take a section of paper clip and heat it up until it's red.
                    > Then stick it into the plastic part of the mirror about where the top of the bracket was.
                    > Before hanging it on the metal shelf part of the housing, stab the paper clip through some foam rubber. The firmer the better.
                    > Hang the mirror back in place. If it looks good put it back together and...

                    ...no more wobble!

The JDM folding mirrors don't have the blue tint. They are just clear glass. But both sides are curved. None of this "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" appear stuff either

Ah, and here I thought the wobble was an anomaly in my car. Now I know not to try swapping it with a junkyard mirror -- I'll just dismantle and fix it myself.
Once upon a time, I had a 1993 Protege LX with about 34,000 miles -- owned by my family since new, got it from my dad two years prior with about 18,000 (and two of the original tires) -- then I gifted it to a friend who needed a car. Now it has come back to me with 55,000 and a smoke-laden interior (plus lots of little broken things), so I'm trying to figure out what to do with it.

Wobble here too! Old one would shake over an inch each way!

PS. My side mirrors are not tinted. 91 Protege GT (Canadian).

                              What wobble?

                              No wobble, thank goodness.

Heating a "piece" of a paperclip has got to leave a mark.
