    roof is flimsy....

Is it deteriorating or are the roofs normally this floppy?
If I go through the car wash, the roof flexes as the jets sweep across it.
Is there a way to reinforce this stuff or do i need to look into replacing it.
...and yes the roof has oxidation going on too.

they're not that thick, it doesn't take much to flex it. would be hard to weld up supports to strengthen it, since you'd have to redo the paint from the spot welding. its really not that bad, unless its rusting away.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Just slam your elbo onto it a few times. This will add varying angles to an otherwise flat surface, and will strengthen it. Worked on mine...well atleast that's how I think one of the previous owners managed to dent the roof. lol

as they flex overtime the metal stretches.
other than welding in supports, and faking the funk.
the alternative would be to re-skin the roof.
          Next!

my escort did that REALLY bad... i think my problem was people walked on my roof and my hood or something... maybe it was the playboy bunnies posing on it i dont know... but i always figured it was just because the braces that are in the roof were bent down and no longer doing their job of bracing.

btw i never fixed it so i dont know how to help you

lol, good one. I was thinking that if you add some roof sound deadening on the inside, that should help it a lil bit.

on a side note, Ron you're located in Chandler? I work there thru the week. We definitely need to get a beer or something.
